Art Murmor

Tonight Han­nah and I stopped by the Oak­land Art Mur­mur and saw some inter­est­ing work. I really like the Oak­land Art Mur­mur… it’s small and is a good mix­ture of gal­leries, street food, noise, giant video pro­jec­tions, etc. And most of it is con­tained in a small 2 or 3 block area. Jen Stark had a really great paper sculp­ture at Johans­son Projects and Oak­land artist Nathaniel Rus­sell had some of his mys­ti­cal silk-screen prints at Hatch. There was also a large show of silk-screen music posters by Lil Tuffy at Kuhl Frames. It is def­i­nitely worth check­ing out these shows and the Oak­land Art Mur­mur.
